Don't you wanna go for a ride
Just keep your hands inside (ie: use the equipment correctly)
And make the most out of life
Now don't you take it for granted
Life is like a mean machine (it's called an eliptical)
It made a mess outta me
It left me caught between
Like an angry dream I was stranded, I was stranded (runnin' in place runnin' in place)
And I'm steady but I'm starting to shake (feel the burn!)
And I don't know how much more I can take
[Chorus:]
This is it now
Everybody get down (pushups)
This is all I can take
This is how a heart breaks (158 bpm)
You take a hit now you feel it break down
Make you stay wide awake (oh I'm so sore!)
This is how a heart breaks
Don't you wanna go for a ride
Down to the other side
Feels so good you could cry (endorphins!)
Now won't you do what I told you (I'm trying Jess!)
I remember when you used to be shy
Yeah, once we were so fine (the high school physique)
You and I why you gotta make it so hard on me
And I'm sorry but it's not a mistake (I signed up for this: literally)
And I'm running but you're getting away (trottin' in place trottin' in place)
So if you can't tell, I based my post off of a song because this is the song that pops into my head when I think of cardio workouts. This semester I'm taking a circuit weight training class which is basically a shorter term for: go to the gym, workout 3 times a week, and get credit for it :) So the 4 times I've gone to the gym I've done strictly cardio. I've started with a 2 mile warm-up on the eliptical and then I head down to the bike for the rest of the workout. Not super complicated, but I'm feeling it in my legs and it gets my heart pumping :)
